Whether you’re not sure what to look for or you want to learn of more, here are two common trouble signs you should be wary of:
Trouble Starting
Does it seem like your car is having a hard time starting? Do you have to turn the ignition a couple of times before the engine finally revs up? If so, you’re likely dealing with a battery or charging system problem. These systems help transfer a spark from the battery to the engine, combusting the air and fuel mixture found within it and starting the vehicle. Without these systems functioning properly, the car won’t start. Unfortunately, there could be multiple reasons why this may be happening, from a dead battery to bad spark plugs, so you’ll need professional help to identify the issue.
Flickering Appliances
A common warning sign that your car’s charging systems are failing is when the electrical appliances within the vehicle begin to flicker. If you see that the radio shuts off and on or if the headlights look a little dim, that’s when you should know something is going wrong. This typically happens because of a failing alternator, but like the previous issue, there could be a multitude of other causes. Like before, we recommend professional help to accurately determine the problem.
