ASE Certification: The Mark of Quality Auto Repairs

Quality Auto Repairs with ASE Certified Technicians

ASE-certified means Automotive Service Excellence. You’ll want the mechanic who cares for your maintenance and repair services to be the best, and the way to know if the mechanic is the best is to know if they are ASE-certified.

Keep Your Vehicle in Top Shape with ASE Certified Repairs

ASE-certified stands for Automotive Service Excellent. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence issues and regulates the certification. To get ASE certification, the mechanic must demonstrate mastery of automotive repairs. This means they have passed a long and rigorous process. They’ve completed a two-year job training program or a two-year degree in automotive repair plus an additional year of on-the-job training. Once the mechanic has completed the educational requirements, they must pass a comprehensive exam. Only two-thirds of mechanics who take the exam pass it on their first try. ASE-certified mechanics must pass the comprehensive exam again every five years. The retesting helps keep the mechanic’s skills and knowledge sharp while helping them to keep us with new car technology. The benefit of ASE-certification is that you know for sure that your mechanic has the best, most up-to-date knowledge of vehicles. Not only do they have a good understanding of historical vehicular knowledge, but they will stay up to date to continue to pass the comprehensive exam. You can trust an ASE-certified technician to know your vehicle needs, no matter what make or model you make.
