Has the check engine light come on in your vehicle? If so, you must understand what to do. If you see the engine light flashing, please stop driving your vehicle and get it to our facility. A flashing light indicates something is seriously wrong with the vehicle. But if the engine light is steady, here’s what we recommend:
Check The Gas Cap
Believe it or not, a loose gas cap can trigger the check engine light. Although it’s frustrating that something this small can be the cause, take comfort knowing that this is also a very easy issue to fix. Before your next drive, tighten or replace the gas cap. If you decide to replace the cap, make sure it fits with your vehicle’s make and model. Once either action is done, drive a few miles. If the light shuts off, you’ve found and fixed the issue! If not, then you’ll need additional help.
Visit a Professional
If the gas cap isn’t the problem, we recommend visiting professionals to properly identify and fix the problem. At our shop, we come equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that can quickly find what may have caused the engine light. Once the issue is found, our techs can quickly perform the repairs needed so you can get back on the road without worry.
